Russian ACM SIGCHI Chapter

RusCHI is the Russian chapter of ACM SIGCHI, the Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction of the Association for Computing Machinery.

RusCHI serves as an inter-disciplinary group for the exchange of ideas and experience in the field of usability and human-computer interaction (HCI) by bringing together people working on the design, evaluation, implementation, and study of interactive systems.

RusCHI started in 2001 as an informal community around the website Usability.ru and it's Usability Forum and has been chartered as an official local chapter of ACM SIGCHI on September 30, 2004.

General information about the current state of HCI and usability in Russia can be found in the CHI'04 article (PDF 161KB), in the interview to SIGCHI Bulletin, and in the booklet HCI Research and Usability Engineering in Russia (PDF 1.68MB).
